Tgl progression and future projects
After one month of intensive work - and one small week break - the Tgl (programming library dedicated to web-based games) takes form and proves very rich in possibilities.
Concretely, this work will make it possible to regularly leave new games more fun and alived that the one present on eMusclor.
The first of them will always turn around the muscle since it will be a wrestling game. Simple of catch in hand, it will stress the combat and the progression of the wrestlers.
Here, in the broad outlines, its features:
- Display of the fighters in the wrestling ring, displacements and actions taking place on it
- No per-turn system: the action points gain is continuous (ex : 10 AP/hour at normal rate ; 10 AP/minute at fast rate)
- Traditional fights in solo (1vs1), by team, but also special events (ex: 10 simultaneous fighters in a wrestling ring)
- Various fighters (fighter, sumo, musclor) with attributes and particular fighting styles
- Evolutionary attributes and skills, which in particular allow to learn from new hits or moves
- etc
The program of the next months should thus looks like this roadmap:
- At the end of September : in order to accommodate these future projects, a new server will be ordered. eMusclor will also rock on this one, without another consequence of a one day interruption of the site (you will be warned several days in advance).
- October: opening of a new site dedicated to these future games, in the form of a community portal rather near to eMusclor (in simpler).
- November: beta-test of the wrestling game, improvement of the Tgl.
- January 2008 : final version of the wrestling game.
- April/July/October 2008 : release of a new game per quarter (fight, wargame, rpg…), all based on Tgl.
While waiting, eMusclor is not dropped, and its maintenance as its support will be continued (a bug was still corrected this morning, thanks to the description of a member).
